||Evaluation of organization is the guaranty for their survival and it guarantees the achievement of their goals. Only through the evaluation can the honorable managers make sure whether or not their forecasts have been accurate. Bank Keshavarzi (BK) is of no exception to this rule. It needs to study and compare the performance of its departments with each other in order to achieve its goals. Therefore, the present research has been carried out to identify the research needs of BK, titled "Studying and introducing appropriate criteria and methods for evaluating and ranking the branch managers in the states in BK.
The main goal of this research is the identification of criteria and indexes related to the efficiency and effectiveness of the performance and activities of BK total branch management in each state and prioritizing the criteria and the mentioned indexes for evaluating and ranking the bank branch managers in the states. Through these, it will be possible to evaluate the total performance of the BK branch managent in all states, compare them with each other and rank them according to their performances.
Thus, in this research, 17 indexes in the form of valuable, important and measurable indexes of efficiency and effectiveness were identified, confirmed and by applying AHP method they were prioritized.
Then, the performance of whole bank branch managements in states, based on the data derived from the financial statements, formal statistics and precise periodical reports related to the fiscal year ending in March, 2000 (the performance of the states in 2000), given to the researcher through the bank staff departments, were evaluated, compared and categorized. Finally, the total performance of the branches under each management was evaluated by AHP method and the degree of success in fulfilling the duties then the related scores were compared with each other and categorized.
